Dutch verbs, general information
Dutch verbs
Verbtime recognizes Dutch verbs generally by their verb ending "EN".
In addition to that Verbtime differentiates between strong, weak and irregular verbs.
- Weark verbs are verbs that are built regularly.
- Strong verbs are verbs, that are built irregularly in the "Indicatief", "Onvoltooid verleden tijd" (OVT/Past), as well as "Voltooid deelwoord" (VD / Past Participle).
- Irregular verbs are verbs, that are built differently compared to the regular rules as well as compared to the strong building rules.
Verbtime stores strong verbs in lists, that can be modified by you on demand (also see: Appendix list of strong verbs, and list of verbs that shall not be treated as strong verbs).
