Conjugation:Rule IV:  y, ie (verb with y/ie-replacement)
   
Application:
  • the verb ends on "y"
  • the preceding character is not a vocal
  • in "Indicative, Present, Singular III", "Indicative, Past", and "Past Participle" the "y" becomes an "ie"
